The spa in Bad Gastein has a very long history. The healing effects of the mineral Gastein water itself have been known since the Middle Ages and a large number of important historical figures have been treated here, such as Sissi and Franz Joseph I. The effects of the water in the baths help to relieve musculoskeletal pain and are therefore increasingly popular. They are ideally situated in a tourist attractive area, which is an important destination for all winter and summer sports enthusiasts, including hiking.

The Felsentherme, or Rock Baths as their name states, are built right into the rocks, creating a unique atmosphere. They are built at a height of 1,100 metres, opposite the cable car station.
The baths are filled with Gastein thermal water at 32°C, which contains minerals and helps you to relax perfectly. The thermal baths are situated both indoors and outdoors. Thanks to their layout, they can be visited all year round and enjoy great relaxation indoors or on a sun lounger on the lawn.
The thermal baths are right in the picturesque town of Bad Gastein and offer their clients a large sauna complex and various water attractions. For water lovers, there is a 25-metre-long swimming pool, a water channel with a fast current. Thanks to the large glass windows, you can relax while enjoying the views of the majestic Gastein mountains.
Saunas with different infusions (e.g. aloe vera), an infrared sauna and steam baths offer variety and the right temperature for experienced sauna users, but also for novices who want to experience the perfect taste of sauna bathing for themselves. What types of saunas are there in Felsentherem? E.g. solar, panoramic, salt, steam, infrared, sanarim. The salt cave offers high humidity and a temperature of 40 °C, which strengthens the immune system, helps with breathing problems and offers other positive benefits for your body. Two swimming pools with warm thermal water and massage jets of different intensities make your visit more enjoyable.
The Felsentherme Spa is also a great choice for families with children. The pools are enriched with bubble lounging areas, geysers, slides, a fountain with a crocodile, a water slide, and a rock cave invites exploration. For toddlers, a children's pool is built so that they don't miss out on the fun.
If you want to enjoy your holiday to the maximum and learn more about the thermal baths, we will be happy to welcome you in our comfortable hotel AlpenHeart, where we will also be happy to recommend you further info about excursions according to the length or complexity of the track and all the sports activities that our Gastein valley offers.
