The Gasteinertal valley offers a mountainous character, which means that the ski areas around Bad Gastein have more rugged terrain. As a result, everyone who comes here to ski will enjoy varied terrain for all weather and snow conditions.There are 4 resorts that belong to Ski Amade, so you only need one ski pass. These include Stubnerkogel, Darfgastein, Sportgastein and BadHofgastein.

Stubnerkogel Ski Area

The largest ski area in BadGastein offers a large number of slopes, which are located at altitudes ranging from 860 to 2,300 metres. The slopes are suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers. For lovers of the unexplored, there is a free ride zone. The comfort of skiers is ensured by 21 lifts and lifts, which are modern and fast. A ski pass can be purchased here from 17 to 52 euros. For snowboarders who are adrenaline junkies, it is possible to go to the snowpark. Among the attractions of the area is a 140-metre-long wire bridge, which offers a view of, for example, Austria's highest mountain, the Glossglocner. The season ends here on 15 April.

Dorfgastein Ski Area

This resort is at an altitude of 865 - 2,033 metres above sea level. It offers a total of 63 km of downhill runs, consisting of 26 km of blue runs, 36 km of red runs and one 1 km of black runs. In total, this makes 80 kilometres of slopes, which are mostly as flat as motorways. At a speed of 28,190 people per hour, 17 lifts and cable cars transport skiers. The season here lasts until 8 April.

Sportgastein Ski Area

The highest resort in the Gasteinertal, especially appreciated by sports skiers. It is open until 15 April. The resort offers 18 km of slopes and skiers are transported by three lifts with a capacity of 5,900 people per hour. The disadvantage of this resort is that there are not so many variations of slopes. Most of the trails are along one backbone cabin.

Bad Hofgastein Ski Area

An area at an altitude of 843 to 2,300 metres above sea level. It offers 86 kilometres of pistes, 31 kilometres of blue runs, 52 kilometres of red runs and 3 kilometres of black runs. There are 18 lifts and cable cars to take skiers wherever they need to go. The season ends here on 2 April.
