Nature in the High Tatras National Park literally invites you to visit in any season. While no one doubts the winter activities in the alpine environment, in summer most of us have the impression that there are no other options besides climbing and strenuous hikes. But the opposite is true!

For those of you who can't imagine beautiful summer days without a proper bike tour, we can recommend a route that starts right in our spa town of Bad Gastein. The moderately demanding route, which will take you approximately 2 hours, starts at the Mozartplatz in Bad Gastein, specifically at the tourist information centre. The route leads through a picturesque valley that will surely amaze you with its beauty and natural diversity.

However, those who would appreciate a more challenging experience should consider the route that starts at the waterfalls on Staubingerplatz, leading past the Hauseben distillery. The whole trail ends with a forest path to the top of the Stubnerkogel. This experience is more challenging mainly because of its elevation, but the higher physical demands are certainly compensated by the magnificent surroundings of the trail and, last but not least, the great feeling at the end!

But if you are looking for a truly unique experience, then renting so-called mountain carts or scooters is a great option. The route of this attraction starts at the end of the Shlossalm cable car and therefore gives you an impressive view right from the start. In addition to the thrill of nature, you will also experience the adrenaline rush of speed. The carts and scooters are also suitable for children! A ride in this form costs between 9 and 17 euros. The scooters and karts are designed for children aged 10 and over and adults. For the adrenaline rush you will receive a helmet and pads. Rides start at 11:00, 13:00, 15:00 every day.

Not a sports enthusiast? Don't worry. You can easily enjoy the charming trails around Bad Gastein without much physical activity by renting an e-bike or segway! You'll also be pleased to know that there are trailheads right by the rental shops. The rental price varies according to the length of the route you want to take - either 7 km or 18 km. The seqway routes are directed to the Kotchachtal valley, the Angertal and the Bad Hofgastein spa park.

Whichever option you choose, you can be sure that the enchanting surroundings of the Gastein valley will captivate you with its varied and fascinating nature.
